Reef Status Test Kit - Magnesium/Carbonate/Borate - 150 Tests

Seachem Reef Status Test Kit - Magnesium is a top of the line water testing kit designed to accurately test the magnesium, borate and carbonate levels in reef based aquariums. As natural sea water contains roughly 1,300 mg/L of magnesium, the optimal levels inside a healthy reef aquarium should sit between 1,200 - 1,400 mg/L of magnesium. To maintain optimal parameters within the aquarium, a total alkalinity of about 4 - 5 meq/L and a borate component of about 1.5 – 2.0 meq/L are essential.

Seachem Reef Status Test Kit boasts an accurate range that measures between 125 mg/L and over 1250 mg/L of magnesium and 1 meq/L to over 10 meq/L of alkalinity in saltwater environments. For greater ease of use, the kit features exceptionally precise readings with detectable changes in 12.5 mg/L increments for magnesium and 0.1 meq/L for alkalinity respectively. Magnesium tests change from pink to true blue once the test has been fully completed and alkalinity tests change from blue to yellow. It is not necessary to perform a reference test to use this kit. Comes with with 150 tests and has the ability to accurately test for magnesium, total alkalinity, borate alkalinity, and carbonate alkalinity.
